I my mind i always thought that everybody used the fxloopblock to send the signal to the send/return of the amp. Wow, thanks for your Great help, i now understand completely, and even know where i went 'wrong': Took me a while and lots of reading to get my head around the concept. Just remember this, the output of the effects loop on the AC30, ie, the Send, is the output of the the AC30's pre-amp (stage 1). You just need to decide what sounds better, power amp modelling on or off. modelling is on, you're modelling the power amp, then feeding that into the real power amp. So the Fx-Loop, is the pre-amp of the real AC30, which has all of the effects in the preset, going into it, then going into the power amp of the real AC30.Ģ) To play the AC30 sim, into the power amp., I set the bypass mode to mute and bypassed the Fx-Loop. Guitar > front imput > effects chain (comp, drive, ampblock, delay, reverb, fxblock) > out1 > Fxloop real amp ?įor the clip I did, I ran the output of the Fx-Loop, on the grid, into the Reverb.ġ) To play through the real AC30 pre-amp+power amp, I set the bypass mode to mute and bypassed the cab. Other question would be: i have a topboost and normal input (even more but lets leave it at that) Silly question maybe but can you do that simultaniously (<-spelling?) modelling and Sag., in the Axe-Fx, to determine if you want to leave Power Amp. Much like you would do with a Matrix power amp. So your AC30, becomes a power amp/cab combo. as your pre-amp., which is then amplified by the power amp. block with the cab bypassed, you are basically using the Axe-Fx amp. So by sending Out1 to the Return of the effects loop, you are bypassing the pre-amp stage and going directly into the power amp. The effects loop allows you to insert effects in-between the two. Your AC30 CC2, has two gain stages in it, a pre-amp (guitar input on top), which amplifies the guitar and gives you the warmth and tonal characteristics of the AC30 and a power-amp, which amplifies the first stage and drives the speakers and make it really LOUD! :)
